We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at Irontech's factory – but what makes this story even more special? We had the privilege of inviting Stephan (@JessyDoll) from Germany to join us and tour the factory. Stephan is a dedicated doll collector with 70+ dolls and a passion for doll repair and maintenance, but also an aircraft maintenance engineer by profession, which means he has an eye for detail and precision.
🎥 What’s this all about?
Stephan’s visit wasn’t just about showcasing dolls – it was about hearing from a true doll enthusiast. As someone who’s spent years collecting and customizing, his insights into what makes a perfect doll are invaluable. He was able to see firsthand how Irontech combines handcrafted craftsmanship with innovative technology to create dolls that feel lifelike and are truly built to last.
🔍 Why invite Stephan?
We wanted to bring in someone who understands what collectors really care about. Stephan’s expertise in doll restoration and customization brings a whole new perspective on quality, design, and innovation. What do doll lovers really think about the craft? We’re here to find out.

Here’s what Stephan had to say about his experience during the visit to Irontech.
A Visit to Irontech – June 28, 2025
This day was all about Irontech, and I was super excited. Not only did I get to meet some familiar faces from the Venus fair in Berlin 2024, but I was also invited to see their incredible factory firsthand. My first doll was from Irontech, so there’s definitely a special connection there.
After a chat with Leonard, the founder of Irontech, and catching up with some familiar faces, we were taken into the showroom to see the latest designs.
And then... I saw her. Nina. It was love at first sight. Irontech really knows how to impress. Today, Nina is with me.
Handmade Craftsmanship
Everything is handmade. From the eyes, which are hand-painted, to the body painting that’s applied in multiple layers – every step takes serious dedication. Even the trimming process, where small seams are carefully removed by hand, is a huge effort.
At the factory, we also saw their makeup studio and how the skeletons are created. It’s a lot of work to get these dolls looking this real!
Finally, I had the chance to sit down for an interview with Leonard and Victor, where I shared my thoughts on the craftsmanship and my experiences as a collector.
The day ended with a delicious dinner, and I left with a deep respect for Irontech’s dedication to their craft. Thanks again for the amazing experience!
